Official project launching of IRITAQ at HiLite Business Park, Kozhikode

The official project launching of IRITAQ (International Research Institute for Tafsir al -QURAN) is held on 19th January, 2020, Wednesday, 9:30 AM at Hi LITE Business Park, Kozhikode. The project is aimed at installing the mission and vision of renowned scholar honourable sheikh Shamsul ulama EK. Aboobacker Musliyar, a long-served secretary of samstha Kerala Jamiyyathul ulama. It was by comprehending the significance of nurturing budding researchers to defend the false accusations against religion. IRITAQ plans a step by step implementation of various programmes that will help to clear misgivings and withstand the actual essence of Holy Quran.

The programme discussed in detail about the false accusations against Quran and mentioned about the necessity of establishing such an institution which helps the Muslims to follow the right path. As it also mentioned about the necessity of answering criticism and to take a dip in the oceans of allegations in order to engage in counter activities. Sheikh Syed Muhammed Jifri with a high esteem remembered about vision of Shamsul ulama who dreamed of such an institution during late times with enormous emphasis on his depth on the knowledge related to Quran. He also mentioned about the false interpretation and exegesis of Quran and its problem which are constant on distorting and misguiding the Muslims across the world.

The official project launching of IRITAQ has been witnessed a number of eminent personalities including political figures, religious icons academicians and philanthropists across the state. That Sheikh Syed Muhammed Jifri the honourable president of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, Dr. Syed Musa Al Qadimi, Senior Professor, University of Malaya, Professor Ali Kutty Muslyar, General Secretary Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama and Pk Kunhali Kuty Sahib are the notable personalities of that event. The research institute will be overseen and peer reviewed by an ulema council,which is made up of eminent scholars who firmly adhere to principles of the Ahlu Sunna Val Jama from in and outside of the country. The ulema council will engage under the auspice and chairmanship of Sheikh Syed Muhammed Jifri and convenorship of Dr.Syed Musa Al Qadimi. As the ulema council also will be occupying as the final academic authority for IRITAQ.

IRITAQ also has an academic senate who shall be accountable for decisions with regard to course design, over all supervision and admission to the programme. Shaikh Abdusalam Baqavi Vadakkekadu member of Samstha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama Central Mushavara, has been appointed as the chairman of Academic Senate. Shaikh Dr KM Bahaudheen Hudavi an academician, author; and Shaikh Abdul Malik Hudavi the young Islamic scholar have been appointed as coordinators of the senate.
